Teaching in one-on-one and small-group settings allows me to spend more quality time with students, which allows me to not only learn more about their academic struggles, but their strengths, too. I've always made sure to go above and beyond to create a positive, self-empowering environment for my students. One of the things I enjoy most as a teacher, particularly with tutoring, is being allowed the flexibility and creativity to create or discover lessons and activities that I believe will benefit my students the most. I strongly believe one of the best ways to improve students' academic performance is by personalizing their learning experiences to their unique abilities and learning styles.
