Two years later I earned my Master of Arts degree in Literature from Syracuse University. While in graduate school I tutored in the university writing center where I edited everything from dissertations and theses to resumes and cover letters. I'm passionate about teaching writing and helping students grasp critical communication skills to help them better express themselves. I've spent every year of my adult life either teaching or writing -- often some form of both. I love passing on what I've learned and I particularly enjoy making it accessible for students trying to find their voice or finish a research paper.
I pride myself on focused, student-centered tutoring where there is an open and honest discussion about where help or improvement is needed. I believe in helping students foster high standards for themselves through dedicated work so they learn what they are truly capable of as writers.
