My tutoring style is supportive and goal focused. We overcome public speaking fears by using vocal warmups and memorization techniques. I work one-on-one with my clients as they customize written and verbal messages that reflect their authentic voices in a sophisticated manner.

I parlayed my college speech training into a career in public relations and communications where public speaking and speech writing are cornerstone skills. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism with a minor in speech communications at LSU and nine hours of speech training at the master's level.

As membership director for the Louisiana public television station, I wrote and presented on-air fundraising campaign pitches that raised over one million dollars.

Most recently, Medicare hired me to educate health care providers via conference presentations to groups including The National Association of Social Workers, the Louisiana Rural Health Association, and the Mississippi Rural Health Association.

Following my passion led me to become a professional public speaking and public relations coach. I have worked with children, teenagers and adults both one-on-one and in private tutoring sessions. Their successes have been phenomenal! From new job opportunities, to successful sales conference key note presentations and speech competition awards, my clients successes are the most satisfying career milestones I have ever achieved.

I have been a public speaking student since my first debate competition in sixth grade. Most recently, I put that training into practice delivering public and virtual presentations to healthcare providers in three states for the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) via KEPRO. A few years earlier, I spent ten years on live television as a professional on-air fundraiser and script writer, raising millions for a statewide public television station. These are examples of the experiences that give me a deep first-person understanding of what my clients need to prepare for on-air television, radio, virtual and live presentations to large and small groups. And I even completed a stand-up comedy session at a local pub so I could help my students deliver a humorous opener. :-} All these situations helped me become a successful Communications Director, where I assisted CEOs in their public speaking and speech writing duties.
