I am an experienced educator with an Ed.D. in Deaf Education and a passion for accessibility and inclusive learning. As a DeafBlind educator, researcher, and advocate, I specialize in Deaf Education and have dedicated my career to supporting students, educators, interpreters, and professionals working with Deaf and DeafBlind individuals.

I have 10 years of experience as an elementary teacher and have served as a Master Teacher, mentoring educators and modeling effective instructional strategies. For the past two years, I’ve worked as an instructional coach, supporting teachers in improving student outcomes and implementing inclusive practices.

My experience also includes ASL tutoring for students, parents, and professionals, tailoring each session to meet individual goals. I have consulted on projects such as song interpretations for interpreters and supported Deaf individuals with presentations.

I actively promote Deaf culture and language through community involvement. I’ve served on the board of an advocacy organization and participated in a community group that hosted monthly ASL gatherings. As the group’s storyteller, I shared engaging narratives that celebrated Deaf culture.

With my combined experience in education, coaching, and advocacy, I am committed to helping individuals and organizations create accessible, culturally rich learning environments.

Grammar

Grammar

I am qualified to tutor grammar because I have experience teaching Language Arts, where I specialized in helping students with grammar, writing, and language structure. As a researcher, I pay close attention to grammar when submitting papers for publication. I also have published works, which demonstrates my ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
Proofreading

Proofreading

I have experience in proofreading because, as an educator, I regularly reviewed my students' written work to ensure it was clear, grammatically correct, and effectively communicated. Additionally, as a researcher with published works, I have had to meticulously proofread my own papers to ensure they meet academic standards before submission. I have also peer reviewed other works and worked on state guidelines for Deaf Education as an editor. This experience has sharpened my ability to catch errors and improve the clarity and precision of written content.
Sign Language

Sign Language

I am a native signer since I was born Deaf. I scored Superior on the Sign Language Proficiency Interview ASL test. I have experience with storytelling in ASL for the community and have worked in Deaf Education for 10+ years. I have also done ASL consults for English to ASL translations.
