I am an experienced educator with an Ed.D. in Deaf Education and a passion for accessibility and inclusive learning. As a DeafBlind educator, researcher, and advocate, I specialize in Deaf Education and have dedicated my career to supporting students, educators, interpreters, and professionals working with Deaf and DeafBlind individuals.
I have 10 years of experience as an elementary teacher and have served as a Master Teacher, mentoring educators and modeling effective instructional strategies. For the past two years, I’ve worked as an instructional coach, supporting teachers in improving student outcomes and implementing inclusive practices.
My experience also includes ASL tutoring for students, parents, and professionals, tailoring each session to meet individual goals. I have consulted on projects such as song interpretations for interpreters and supported Deaf individuals with presentations.
I actively promote Deaf culture and language through community involvement. I’ve served on the board of an advocacy organization and participated in a community group that hosted monthly ASL gatherings. As the group’s storyteller, I shared engaging narratives that celebrated Deaf culture.
With my combined experience in education, coaching, and advocacy, I am committed to helping individuals and organizations create accessible, culturally rich learning environments.
