Hi, I'm Jamalyn! I have a BA in Elementary Education and two Master's Degrees - Curriculum and Instruction as well as Instructional Supervision. With 22 years of experience in public elementary education, I bring a deep understanding of how children learn and grow academically. I have taught every grade from kindergarten through sixth grade, working with class sizes ranging from 11 to 30 students. This breadth of experience has given me the ability to adapt my teaching style to meet a wide range of developmental needs, learning styles, and academic abilities. Whether supporting early readers or guiding upper-elementary students through more complex concepts, I am skilled at breaking down material in a way that builds confidence and mastery.

In addition to whole-class instruction, I have extensive experience working with small groups and providing one-on-one support. These settings have allowed me to tailor instruction more precisely, identify learning gaps, and use targeted strategies to help students succeed. My tutoring approach is student-centered, combining patience, encouragement, and clear, structured instruction.
