My name is John E. I have a Bachelors in biology, a Masters and PhD specializing in molecular genetics from the University of Kentucky. My education is science-based in biology, chemistry, genetics and statistics.
To give some background about my personal and business experiences, I have given numerous seminars on managing and working with equines to groups of all ages including young children. I taught many young equine enthusiasts how to exhibit and care for their animals and feel I have a keen ability to interact with them in a positive manner even under stressful circumstances. I have three children with ages ranging from 32 to 16, so I have experience as my family's in-house tutor with all aspects of all primary and secondary subjects and current education protocols being taught today.
I am interested in tutoring as a way to increase my exposure in individual student and teacher interactions. Teaching primary and secondary aged children add to my college and graduate teaching experience I already have acquired. I believe personal interaction with a student is essential to assist his or her ability to learn the volume of information in the subjects taught today. There is great satisfaction in helping a student feel confident and empowered with knowledge in a subject that may seem overwhelming to them.
