Hello! My name is Heidi, and I am a Developmental Therapist/Interventionist with over 20 years of experience supporting infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education and have worked extensively in Kentucky’s early intervention system.
I have provided one-on-one developmental services in home and community settings, including daycares and preschools, working with children from birth to age five. My experience includes supporting children with speech and language delays, developmental delays, sensory processing differences, attention challenges, and social-emotional needs.
My approach is play-based and individualized. I focus on building foundational skills through everyday routines and meaningful interactions. I teach early communication (gestures, sounds, first words), following directions, attention and focus, play skills, and early problem-solving. I break skills into small, achievable steps and provide strategies that can be used throughout the day.
In addition to working directly with children, I offer parent coaching to help families support their child’s development at home. I provide practical, easy-to-use strategies for communication, behavior, and daily routines.
I primarily work with toddlers and preschoolers (ages 1–5) and support early learning, kindergarten readiness, and developmental skill-building.
My goal is to help children make meaningful progress while helping parents feel confident and supported.
