I have 21 years of teaching experience, including 16 years teaching in Delaware and 5 years in Kentucky. I also have experience as a high school counselor, which has helped me understand the importance of supporting students academically, socially, and emotionally. My background in education has taught me that every student learns differently and that patience, encouragement, and individualized instruction can make a meaningful difference in a child's success.

I specialize in helping elementary students develop a strong foundation in math. My approach is to break concepts into smaller, manageable steps, explain them clearly, and provide opportunities for practice until students feel comfortable with the material. I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel safe asking questions, learning from mistakes, and building confidence in their abilities.

I believe every child can make progress when given the right support and encouragement. I am committed to meeting students where they are, adapting my teaching methods to their individual learning needs, and helping them strengthen their math skills at their own pace. My goal is not only to help students improve in math but also to help them become more confident and independent learners.

I have 16 years of experience working with Common Core Standards in Delaware and five years working with Kentucky Academic Standards. I wrote social studies curriculum for the state of Delaware and served as a curriculum writer for Kentucky’s Numeracy Counts Academy.
