High School Math Tutor | Step-by-Step Instructive Help

Hey, I'm Lukas! I am currently a senior in high school looking to pursue a college degree in computer science. Math has always be my favorite subject throughout school and I have a deep passion for learning it. I have always had straight A's throughout my math classes and scored a 35 on the math section of the ACT. I hope to bring my enthusiasm for this subject into my tutoring style.

I teach others in a plain and straightforward manor by walking them through complicated multi-step problems one step at a time. Teaching the information in an effective enough manor such that others can take and apply the content is my priority when it comes to tutoring. I want to teach students not only how to solve the problems but why we solve it the way we do. I believe that it gives students a much firmer grasp on the content and improves overall performance on homework and exams. As the student's education is my priority, I am always open to any suggestions or revisions that will help the student the most.

I have some tutoring experience with my classmates over the span of a school semester. When taking dual credit calculus, I would oftentimes use shared whiteboards with friends to help them study for upcoming exams. I would work through problems with them checking to see their understand throughout the process. Overall this not only helped them to get a better grasp of calculus, but it helped me learn how to better instruct students. It taught me how to be instructional and encouraging when it comes to learning difficult topics. Over time I became much more comfortable teaching others because I had learned how to simply convey the content without overwhelming them.
