I have been in the beauty industry for 25 years now. I started as a high school student. For the last 13 years, I have been an educator, lead educator, director of education, and director. I wrote and monitored my own curriculum. When KY adopted the esthetics program as a separate program, I was one of the first 3 educators to obtain a dual cos/est. educators' license. I absolutely love teaching what I am so passionate about.

In 2005, I won the national award for educator of the year. I've been very blessed to have done all the things that I have gotten to do, and meet all the people I have in my wonderful industry. I am currently not at a school. Most cosmetology schools have gone corporate. Of coarse, corporations are all about making money. It has become so much more about the numbers, and less about the students. There have been a lot of changes in the accreditation agencies that makes that somewhat necessary, but I like to make the students' experience one that they will always remember, and look at it as a great time in their lives.
I always considered my students my clients. I have had the privilege of tutoring cosmetologists from other states that have to take the state board exam. I taught state board prep class at the schools. My students have a very high pass rate. I'd love to pass along any knowledge I can to help you be successful at this awesome career!
