About Simon

Bio

I graduated with my master's in statistics in 2020, and through my education, I worked as a tutor for Calculus, Statistics, and Chemistry. I now tutor on the side to not only earn a side income, but also to enjoy the tutoring for which I am so passionate. I mostly tutor high school and above since most of my tutoring experience has been from the collegiate level. I can do one on one or group sessions as needed.

Part of what got me into my field of study was my desire to help others. Statistics, to me, is all about translating numbers into understandable concepts for people who don't necessarily enjoy mathematics. This means it's very close to tutoring. Seeing someone learn and understand a concept in math is extremely rewarding to me.
Getting sessions from me will include not only the resources from this platform, but also additional free resources I've been able save from past tutoring positions. I hope to give you all the tools for success in your classes and future studies.

It is definitely one of my favorite subjects, especially Calculus 2 with sequences. I also enjoy showing applications of it in real world examples. If you need help in Calculus 1 or 2, I would love to help you understand it.

I had my background in statistics, so most of the problems made sense to me; I studied up on the rest and tutored it there for about 3 years. I enjoy it because it's "Math for people that don't need one math course;" it's a wide survey of what I feel are some of the more fun and useful areas of mathematics.
