Hey, I’m Stephen! I graduated magma cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies. My favorite things to do are reading and writing, whether poetry, fiction, or non-fiction. I'd love to share my passion with you, helping you to read better, write better, and maybe even find English more fun.
I’m willing and eager to help students with all things English, whether that be achieving high scores on ACT English or ACT Reading, writing better papers for English 101 or 102 classes, or analyzing a difficult piece of literature. I'd also love to help students simply wanting to polish an important paper, or students interested in more complex subjects such as literary theory.
I’ve had a proven track record of performance in language arts; I scored a 36/36 on the ACT Reading section and a 35/36 on the ACT English section, scored an A+ in all my university English classes, and have had some of my writing published in print. During my time in college I was a staff writer at the school’s literary magazine, took a literary criticism elective, and frequently edited fellow student’s papers to make them clearer, simpler, and stronger.
