Hi there! My name is Jess, and I’m a Full-Stack Web Developer and former Music Education major with over a decade of experience tutoring and coaching learners of all ages. I actually started tutoring music back in 2010 as an elective in high school, and I’ve been teaching, mentoring, and supporting learners ever since. From music studios to coding classrooms, helping others find their confidence has always been at the heart of what I do.

Before becoming a developer, I studied Music Education and performed as a trumpet player, which gave me a strong foundation in structured instruction, performance technique, and creative learning. After earning my Full-Stack Web Development certification, I transitioned into the tech world and began supporting adult learners in coding bootcamps. As a Learner Experience Manager at a coding bootcamp currently, I’ve guided hundreds of students through JavaScript, React, and Node.js, helping them overcome challenges, build sustainable study habits, and rediscover their love of learning.

My tutoring style is patient, flexible, and focused on understanding how you learn best. I tailor each lesson to your pace and goals whether that means clarifying a tricky programming concept, preparing for a coding interview, improving trumpet tone, or mastering music theory. My goal is to make learning feel achievable, engaging, and even fun, so every session ends with more clarity and confidence than before.
