Preparing for the EMT or Paramedic exam can be stressful, and my goal is to help make the process clearer, calmer, and more manageable. I have extensive experience writing exam questions for the National Registry EMT and Paramedic exams, which gives me insight into how questions are built—and why certain answers are correct. Preparing for the EMT or Paramedic exam can be stressful, and my goal is to help make the process clearer, calmer, and more manageable. I have extensive experience writing exam questions for the National Registry EMT and Paramedic exams, which gives me insight into how questions are built—and why certain answers are correct. In our work together, I don’t just tell you what the right answer is; I help you understand the why behind it.

I focus on teaching at a practical, understandable level. We’ll break down both the content and the science of test-taking so you can recognize patterns, avoid common traps, and approach exam questions with confidence rather than anxiety. Everything we do is aimed at one goal: helping you succeed on your EMT or Paramedic licensing exam.

I began my EMS career with a small fire department near Williamsburg, Kentucky, and over the years I’ve had the opportunity to serve in EMS systems across Kentucky, Tennessee, Colorado, Georgia, and Kansas. My experience includes working as a street medic, training officer, supervisor, state regulator, and educator. Today, I teach in one of the busiest EMS education programs in the nation, working closely with students who are exactly where you are now.

I am the Director of the second oldest accredited paramedic program in the United States and have over 30 years of experience in emergency medical services. As a nationally recognized educator and president of the National Association of EMS Educators, I specialize in helping students master both the cognitive of the paramedic certification process. I have successfully tutored students who have struggled to pass the NREMT exam, using targeted strategies that build confidence, clinical judgement, and test-taking skills.
