Began tutoring soon after the 2008 recession, both in person and online. Core subjects are Information Technology, Computer Science, English (Reading, Writing, and Vocabulary), Guitar, Vocals, and Song Writing. Most people have an innate capacity to learn and many times when there is a problem, it has more to do with the educator or environment than the person attempting to learn.

Very patient and certainly knowledgeable. Very enthusiastic to share his expertise. I learned a lot in a short time. The shortcuts he reinforced has saved me a lot of time. I am extremely pleased with my lesson.

Not patient at all
I am so sorry to even say this but my lesson with this person was terrible and uncomfortable. First off, he knew barely anything about the Linux command line, he was so rude and nasty through out the session, and lastly, he lit up a cigarette while in session. Not to mention he did talk down to me. Not patient at all. In fact, I will not use this service anymore because of that terrible impression that I have. I'm utterly disgusted. Thank you.
Nicole, 1 lesson with StevenTutor responded:This was an online session. Student had waited to the day of her exam, with in hours of it, to have the session with me. Had not done any of her home work through the semester and was very agitated. With in 15 minutes of the session she disconnected realizing she would not be able to accomplish what she wanted in such little time. Obviously, she did not want to pay for wasting my time that day, attempting to help her -- but she did -- and that is why her negative comment has not been removed.

He is not patronizing at all. He doesn't talk down at you even as he makes you realize how you don't know but it doesn't offend you. He is very patient. I look forward to working with him the semester.
