I am an experienced elementary educator with a strong passion for helping young learners build confidence and a love for learning. I have spent over 10 years in education, including teaching kindergarten, where I specialize in early literacy, phonics, and foundational math skills. I am currently pursuing my Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in Elementary Education through Asbury University, and I am deeply committed to using research-based, developmentally appropriate practices to support student growth.
My teaching approach is engaging, supportive, and tailored to each child’s individual needs. I use explicit, systematic phonics instruction combined with hands-on and multisensory strategies to help students develop strong reading skills. I also incorporate movement, games, and interactive activities to keep students motivated and involved in the learning process. Whether I am working on letter sounds, blending, sight words, or early math concepts, I strive to make learning both effective and enjoyable.
I have experience working with a wide range of learners in both whole group and one-on-one settings, and I understand that every child learns differently. I am passionate about building strong relationships with my students and creating a safe, encouraging environment where they feel successful. I would love the opportunity to support your child in growing their skills and confidence!
