Salutations! I am Ms. Leo, and I have over 10 years of experience in tutoring individuals of all ages. I have a focus on writing, but I have also assisted with STEM subjects. When I am not tutoring, I am a middle-to-high school math teacher at a private school. I graduated in summer of 2020 with my Bachelor's of Fine Arts, and received my Master’s of Fine Arts in Poetry in 2024.

I have been tutoring students since high school (2013). I have helped individuals with these subjects or concepts: Spanish I, Geometry, Biology, AP English Language and Composition, AP United States History, Essay Writing, and Physics. In college, I tutored (and still tutor) students in Biology, Writing (essays and other academic modes), Linguistics, Logic, Psychology, and Philosophy. I have mastered many different forms of writing, and writing is my strongest subject.

Students love working with me because I have a funny, easy going, and smart personality that causes students open up. I manage to make students excited to learn, and am a gentle, guiding hand with content.

I have prepped students for the prestigious BCA high school program, where students must take on-demand writing & math exams to qualify for specialized, career-focused programs in Bergen County. I have assisted with ACT and SAT prep and have also worked with students with learning difficulties to help them understand content and build skills.

I'm an exceptional tutor because I have a keen intellect, a strong desire to communicate what I've learned, and I can also process and teach complex concepts with ease. I excel at tutoring writing especially because I have been studying writing and English for years, have a strong ability to analyze & proofread content, and I am able to help students grow with their own work.
