I walked into my college level chemistry knowing practically nothing about chemistry since COVID kept me from learning the material I needed as a base in HS. On top of that, my professor treated us as though we had taken and passed AP Chemistry in HS. So, when I saw him once a week, not only would he be teaching me the little bit of chemistry I needed to know to understand the concept, he would re-explain the material I had viewed that week extremely well, and extremely quickly, leaving no room for misinterpretation. Even with four hours of lecture a week that I didn't understand well, I would find myself running out of material to have him explain after 20min. On top of everything, when you have a particular topic he's helping you with, he will often provide tricks that either help you solve the type of problem quicker or small exceptions that chem professors might like to emphasize on. He helped me understand all of the material in my college class that ranged from the quantum mechanical model of the atom, organic chemistry, and then applied mathematical chemistry. Overall, for the person who did not get to complete HS chemistry and entered a chemistry class that expected me to have passed AP chemistry, I ended with an A in the class, (the highest grade available at my college), in no small part thanks to him. I am extremely grateful for everything he's done for me.

JV helped me in organic chemistry and in just one session I learned more than with my professor. JV is AWESOME. I don't have any words. He agreed to help me so late in the night too, just for my success and ability to understand the topics. He explained the topics simply without making it long and confusing. If you are a visual learner, he draws the structures and explains everything in depth. Book him, if you want to make science easy for yourself. I am actually enjoying organic chemistry because of JV. Dr. Jv is a very knowledgeable tutor who can accurately answer any problem while also explaining the concept and thought process very well. He is very good at explaining anything step by step, and for AP Chem in particular, he is good at advising you for problems and topics that could appear in class and on the exam.
