I hold a PhD in Biological Sciences with a specialization in plant pathology and molecular biology. My academic background includes extensive training in microbiology, anatomy and physiology, genetics, cell biology, virology, and molecular techniques such as PCR, CRISPR, sequencing, and tissue culture. Throughout my doctoral and postdoctoral work, I have been actively involved in teaching undergraduate and graduate students in both classroom and laboratory settings, which has strengthened my ability to explain scientific concepts clearly and effectively.

I have been teaching and mentoring students for more than eight years, working with learners ranging from high-school students preparing for biology and anatomy courses to university students navigating complex microbiology, molecular biology, and research-based classes. My experience includes lecturing at the university level, leading laboratory sessions, supervising student research projects, and providing one-on-one academic support. I have also helped many students prepare for exams, complete lab reports, write research papers, and build strong foundational understanding in the biological sciences.

My teaching approach focuses on making difficult concepts easy to understand through visual explanations, real-world examples, and step-by-step breakdowns. I tailor each session to the student’s learning style and academic goals, whether they need help catching up, strengthening fundamentals, or excelling in advanced topics. Students I work with often tell me that my patient attitude and clear teaching style help them feel more confident and better prepared for their coursework. I enjoy supporting learners at all levels and helping them grow academically, and I look forward to bringing that same commitment to students here on Wyzant.
