An Experienced Math Tutor, from Pre-Algebra to Calculus

Hi, I'm Jordan! I hold an MSc in Particle & Nuclear Physics from the University of Edinburgh and a BSc in Physics and Astrophysics from Lancaster University. With a strong academic foundation, I specialize in tutoring math subjects such as geometry, trigonometry, pre-algebra, algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, and more. My tutoring experience spans several years, during which I’ve taught students aged 12 to 20, focusing on personalized approaches to help each student excel.

During my time as a tutor, I've honed my ability to break down complex concepts into manageable lessons, ensuring that each student can grasp the material at their own pace. I’ve worked with diverse learning styles and believe in adapting my teaching methods to meet individual needs, whether it's through visual aids, hands-on problem-solving, or reinforcing concepts with real-world applications.

I also have experience teaching high school students at math and science summer camps. In this role I helped students get a head start on their pre-calculus, calculus, and physics studies. Moreover, my method centers around building confidence, guiding students patiently through challenging topics, and celebrating their successes along the way. I’m passionate about fostering a supportive and encouraging learning environment that keeps students motivated.
