I have had plenty of experience tutoring. I tutor at Carter G. Woodson Academy, and I was an activist in an organization called "Educational Justice." As a part of Educational Justice, I tutored underprivileged middle school students in math and reading and helped bring them up to the standards of their current grade level. I also co-founded an organization called "SpeechUp," in which a peer and I helped middle school students with their public speaking skills. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about science.
When I tutor students, I work to help them grow and understand the content in a way that sticks. I ensure that students are being actively involved in the explanations and discussions of the concepts to fully understand the "why" behind each question. I have worked with elementary school, middle school, and high school students. In my free time, I enjoy reading, working out, pickleball, watching movies, and spending time with my friends and family.
