I'm Madi! I hold a PhD in Psychology and have always been passionate about statistics, writing, research methods. Ever since my first undergraduate statistics class, I knew this was the field I wanted to dedicate my career to. With over 7 years of research experience, including authoring multiple peer-reviewed publications and presenting at national and international conferences, I bring real-world insight to every session. I’ve spent 5 years teaching as a Teaching Assistant, lab instructor, and Instructor of Record at the college level, where I guided students through essay writing, complex statistical concepts, and research design. I also formally tutored through my university’s honors program during undergrad and have informally supported countless undergrads with theses, assignments, and data analysis projects.
My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and deeply student-centered. I focus on building conceptual understanding rather than rote memorization because I truly believe statistics isn’t “math”—it’s about discovering how factors relate to one another in meaningful ways. Whether you’re working in SPSS, Excel, or just need to grasp hypothesis testing and regression, I break everything down step-by-step with clear, real-world examples drawn from psychological research. My goal is never just to get you through an assignment, but to help you truly understand the subject, overcome any anxiety, and gain confidence in your abilities.
I’ve helped students from high school through graduate levels succeed—completing senior theses, publishing their work, passing exams and classes, and even defending dissertations. Seeing students sigh in relief when they finally “get it,” find excitement in research, or build self-assurance is what motivates me most. I would love to support you in conquering your writing, stats, or research challenges—whether online or in-person in the Louisville, KY area. Let’s work together to make this material feel approachable and maybe even enjoyable!
