ONLINE TUTORING

In addition to in person tutoring, I also offer online lessons, which I conduct using a table and a computer (just like Khan Academy!). This allows me to draw/write on the tablet and have it show up directly on your computer screen, like a virtual whiteboard, while you can still hear and see me. In addition, this is much more convenient and comfortable for the student - tutoring literally in the comfort of your own home.

To ace the ACT Math, get a TI-84 plus CE calculator and let me teach you how to use it. Once you know how to use that calculator, it can do the majority of the ACT Math section for you, allowing you to work all 60 problems in the allotted amount of time and greatly increase your score. COOP/HSPT

I am KY and TN state certified in middle school math. I have a bachelor's degree in English with honors. I have been preparing students for standardized exams since 1997. Both the COOP and the HSPT are tightly timed tests with scoring systems similar to the ACT. The main difference between the two is the length of the exams, with the HSPT containing approximately 118 more questions than the COOP. I daily tutor all the topics included on both exams. I'm great at explaining the basic math concepts tested on both exams in multiple ways, so students can fully grasp the concepts. Some students are concerned about their reading speed. I emphasize test taking strategies that compensate for that. I also teach students time management strategies that allow them to complete the exams in the the time allotted.

Praxis Math 5003 help

Kate has a very calm demeanor and explains things clearly. Through the use of the whiteboards she is able to teach me how to answer the problems. She has also explained other quick methods to find the answer, and how important the calculator can be for answering most of the questions. I appreciate her time and clear explanations.

Kate was wonderful! I had taken the Praxis 5003 four times and began feeling defeated and not confident. Wonderful Praxis Core Tutor! (Praxis Core Math Tutoring Experience!)

Kate truly is a wonderful tutor all around. She helped me prepare for the Praxis Core math exam. I had taken this exam twice before meeting with Kate. Math has always been a subject I struggled with. We found her about two weeks before my next testing date to retake the math exam. We were able to fit in five very helpful lessons. The lessons consisted of VERY helpful testing strategies, going over types of questions I struggled with, and understanding the Praxis Core math exam as a whole. I have now taken the exam again and went up 18 points according to my previous attempt. She was a blessing sent to me and my family knowing this test has now been passed and completed! The Best Praxis Math 5733 Tutor

Kate is an extraordinary math teacher. She helped me pass my Praxis Core Math 5733 in three ways. The first is that she told me exactly what resources I needed to help me study and then we would work through problems together. She would also assign homework from said resources to give me plenty of practice and accountability. Kate is great at giving thorough explanations for math problems and would often teach me shortcuts for solving difficult equations. The second is that she looked over my score sheet from my failed Praxis test and helped me focus on areas where I needed improvement while also making sure I didn’t forget what I was good at. The third is she took the time to figure out a good learning strategy for me and that greatly reduced my testing anxiety.
