Does learning how to play the piano seem like a long marathon of hard work? It doesn't have to be. Hi, my name is Alfred, and I teach Music Theory to beginner and intermediate piano and keyboard students. I specialize in teaching foundational principles and fingering methods absolutely necessary to succeed. I've been playing piano since I was nine years old using old-school techniques and traditional methods. All of these things were great but the process took a lot of my time, time that none of us have today.
In the last thirty some-odd years, I have replaced those traditional methods with what is called Music Theory to speed things along for me. Today I use these techniques to advance myself in Christian contemporary worship music, sharpening my skills to a high level of proficiency. I have played lead-keys (and vocals) in various Churches over the years and still do today.
Now it's my turn to share it with you. Whether it is contemporary Christian or any genre of music, I can get you on the road to playing in short order.
I love to teach and have patience to make you feel comfortable at the keyboard or piano. It's a wonderful instrument, soothing to the soul, and you will get excited when you start to make it sing for you. And it doesn't have to take years and years to do it. That's the good news.
