Greetings! My name is Leah and I am a mom to 5 amazing free spirited boys. I have had the amazing opportunity to teach them at home as well as support them while attending public school. Two of my children are now grown and one has completed college and another is currently in his Freshman year at college. I still have three at home who have all returned to public school and are excelling with the foundation that was given to them through their homeschooling. I have learned through teaching and tutoring my own children that they are all different with different learning styles. I believe learning should be fun, interesting and evolving.

I have so many different life experiences that have made me be the kind of tutor and teacher that believes in children and that all children regardless of ability can succeed. I have been a teacher's assistant in a special education LBD elementary classroom for 3 years, a teachers assistant at our local School for the Blind, a substitute teacher for all grade and subject levels for 2 years. I have also worked in a Children's Psychiatric Hospital as a counselor and teachers assistant as well as I have been a social service worker with our local Department for Community Based Services for 3 years. I have a passion for children, learning and helping.

I have a Bachelor's of Interdisciplinary Studies Emphasis on Behavioral and Social Sciences from Western Kentucky University. I am working on my Master's in Human Services Counseling and have only 5 classes left through Liberty University. I have worked in Child Psychology for 10 years and have been a Social Service Worker for 3 years.

I have homeschooled 2 children and tutored several others with an emphasis on grammar, spelling, and literature. I hold a Bachelor's degree and am working on my Master's.

I love learning and teaching. I believe every student has the power to learn and succeed. I believe that there is no cookie cutter learning and that every individual is unique and learns in their own way.
