Hi, I’m Zack! I am a Biology student currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Biomedical Sciences. I also hold an Associate of Arts and Science in Science and plan to continue into graduate school to participate in academic research. Alongside my science background, I am Microsoft Expert Certified, which allows me to assist students with both technical and academic skills. My experience includes helping younger students with homework, breaking down difficult concepts, and guiding peers toward effective study strategies and academic success. I especially enjoy working with younger students in middle and elementary middle school to help them build a strong foundation in science early on, as this can make a lasting difference in their confidence and future success.

My tutoring approach is centered on clarity, patience, and building confidence. I believe every student can succeed when concepts are explained in a way that fits their learning style, therefore, my lessons will be adjusted for each student to include visuals, text, and oral communication. I focus on simplifying complex topics—whether it’s understanding processes such as metabolism or the cell cycle or broader concepts in biology—by using visuals, step-by-step explanations, and real-world connections to connect the material and show how it builds on former knowledge. I also prefer working consistently with the same students so we can track progress and build strong communication. My goal is not just to help students complete assignments, but to help them truly understand the material and develop skills they can carry forward in their education!
