Western Kentucky University (BIS)
My love for education began when I volunteered at Morningside Elementary School in Elizabethown Kentucky. During my time at Morningside Elementary, I was assigned to the Spe cial Education class Department and helped educate students who had variety of different learning disabilities. One of my greatest strengths with educating special needs students was my patience and understanding of their learning needs.
I delivered lessons in an exciting fashion and hand the students attention and gave them the desire to learn and to participate in the learning process which enhanced their academic skills and their social skills. Being in such a challenging environment, allowed me to face new challenges daily, and successfully handle any situation or demand within the classroom.
I am an employee of the Breckenridge County Kentucky Board of Education. I have been called into substitute for Custer Elementary School since 2013, and Breckenridge Co. High school since 2014. When I substituted for Custer Elementary School, I have taught first through the fifth grade, and have taught inside a Special Education class room, and have substituted for the teachers assistant. When I Substituted for Breckenridge Co. High School I have substituted an English, Spanish, Math, and Social study class rooms.
I graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2011, earning a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree with the emphasis in education. I am studying the GRE to get into the Masters degree in history. While I am working my way through Grad School I look forward in helping to help others to achieve their academic dreams.
My experience in teaching students in the public schools has giving me the patience to educate students who need an educator who will talked to them, and walk them through an assignment they may not understand. I understand for some, history can be boring. However, I hope when I tutor you you will discover history is not so boring at all. History is exciting to learn, because when we know history, we understand why things are the way they are in our present decade.
I know U.S. History, world history, Political Science, history on religion. I will teach you how to do a good re-search paper. By having a good paper you will learn how to do an Annotated Bibliography which will give you directions how you will write your paper. You will know how to write up a work cited page in Chicago to MLA method. The tutoring process will be hard, but in he end, once you know what to do the hard work will be worth doing. I look forward to help you in your success.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
