When it comes to one-on-one chemistry tutoring, I emphasize building a strong foundation in the basics before moving on to more complex topics. Instead of telling students what, I ask them how and allow a safe setting to inquire and make educated guesses, enabling them to build curiosity and critical thinking skills. I strongly believe anyone can learn Chemistry as long as they are encouraged and challenged.
For tutoring sessions, I tailor the lesson to the student's needs and goals. Given my experience in teaching chemistry, I have plentiful resources, activities, and notes at my disposal, and I am used to adjusting the lesson plan if it is too easy, difficult, or even boring!
