I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education in 2015 and obtained my teaching license. I student taught in a variety of grades from Kindergarten through fifth grade. Teaching one or more lessons was required during my time in these grades. I was a first grade teacher for two years and a substitute teacher for the following two years. My daily lessons were crafted to reach each student where they were and help them learn the material. I also offered tutoring after school where I would create mini lessons and games to further develop each student’s individual needs in any given area. Teaching children to love learning is a passion of mine, and I truly believe that any child can learn when they are met with compassion and understanding.
I have extensive knowledge in Elementary Math and Reading, as well as experience with a variety of student personalities and abilities. As a mom of four kids, I have seen firsthand the importance of understanding how to cater to different learning styles based on each child’s personality. Creating a fun educational environment for learning is one of the many tactics I use to help any child succeed in their learning. Providing the right tools and finding unique ways for students to understand hard concepts is one way I tailor learning to meet each child where they are. Making each lesson a memorable experience is how I approach personalized learning. My goal is to help every child reach their goals and learn to develop a love for lifelong learning.
