I am a native of Russia and upon graduation from college I taught English to high school students. Within 3 years I was promoted to oversee the English Department. In addition to teaching English, my primary duties included hiring new faculty, coordinating programs and supervising 20+ instructors, representing English faculty in the school's day-to-day life, setting academic policies for English department, overseeing the budget of the department and conflict resolution for students and faculty alike.
In 1994, I received a scholarship from USIA (United States Information Agency) and moved to the US. I was invited to create a Russian program at FTCC (Forsyth Technical Community College) in 2004 with a class of five students. By spring semester 2009 I had grown the program to six classes, both beginning and intermediate levels. It was my initiative and responsibility to recruit, motivate, and teach students. It was an invaluable experience that gave me an opportunity to bring current pedagogical theories to practice. Working closely with the department chair, I developed and implemented curriculum recommendations that help students to prepare for four year college while at FTCC. Additional academic support was provided to students who developed passion for Russian language and were planning to major in Russian language upon graduation from FTCC.

Russian is my native language, and I have a near-native command of English. Grammar is my passion. I will improve your study and reading skills. I create a vision for every student and work on individual plans. I have a 8 year old who is in the second grade and tests to 5th grade level.
