Hello! I'm a licensed Special Education teacher with 16 years of experience helping students with diverse learning needs achieve success both academically and personally. I hold a Master's degree in Special Education with a Low Incidence emphasis, am certified in both Low Incidence and High Incidence Special Education, and hold an endorsement in High Incidence. Throughout my career, I have worked with students across grades K–12, including those with autism, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and other exceptional learning needs. I have extensive experience implementing IEPs, adapting instruction, and creating individualized supports that help students build confidence and make meaningful progress.
My areas of expertise include elementary and middle school Language Arts, elementary math, and some middle school math. I am passionate about helping students strengthen reading comprehension, writing skills, math foundations, organization, study skills, and executive functioning. Every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to meet their unique strengths, challenges, and goals. I believe learning should be supportive, engaging, and encouraging, allowing students to feel comfortable asking questions and celebrating their growth.
