I have taught high school Academic Economics, AP Macro and Micro, IBHL and IBSL, and IGCSE Economics since 1990. I have taught in public high schools in the metro Houston area, and at International Schools in both Houston and Dallas. My international overseas experience includes stints in Quito, Ecuador, Manila, Philippines, Hong Kong, San Salvador, El Salvador, Chiang Mai, Thailand, and Yangon, Myanmar.
I am most comfortable teaching AP Macro and Micro, and my students have often performed above the world averages on the May exams. The best results my students have ever had was a 4.05/5 average while teaching in Yangon. I had students in grades 10, 11, and 12 in that particular year for AP Macro. I have also been a reader for Collegeboard for AP Macro for a total of 7 years, the most recent being in June 2022.
I taught remotely for Yangon Academy International School for the second semester of school year 2023-2024 while living in Cuenca, Ecuador. That was AP Micro. I have been tutoring five former students from YAIS since January 2026 remotely from my previous residence in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and now from my home in Wichita, Kansas. I use various materials that I have developed over the years, along with AP Macro and Micro activities from Collegeboard that i purchased over the years. I enjoy teaching students that want to learn, and I am patient with my students as I understand how difficult Economics can often be.
