I am Lynnette, and I teach 3rd and 4th grade. I graduated from Washburn University in 2008 with my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and have been teaching since 2009. I am married with four young children. Outside of teaching I work with students of all ages at my local church. It is my desire to change the world and make it a better place through caring for the kids in it.

I am proud that teaching is my profession and blessed to be able to teach at LVS. The part that I love the most about working at our virtual school is that parents and students have ownership over their education.~ We are able to truly give each child a personal and individual education to meet their specific needs.

I have taught kindergartners who did not even know their alphabet to become capable and confident readers. I have many years of experience with one-on-one tutoring it is the best option for struggling readers. My students range in age from six to forty-six. I have always loved working with my students. My goal is to help you be able to help others read. The four components I work with students are comprehension, decoding, sight words, Language these components makeup he reading process.

By showing my students that I care through encouragement and positive feedback. Many students deal with years of failure in reading. I can help them overcome this. Praise goes a long way.
