Hi, my name is Rhonda G and I have been teaching for over 20 years. I currently hold a teaching license for the state of Kansas (K-9) and also a license in Special Education (Pre-K-12). I am seeking new opportunities in elementary and special education for building positive social behaviors and improving self-esteem as well as enabling creativity in children. I’m a firm, positive leader with good rapport among faculty, students, and parents. I’m experienced in selecting and adapting best teaching materials for classroom use, with a mix of skill and awareness to help students be attentive and life-long active learners. I use a variety of senses included in lesson plans that increase student’s performance and love of learning. I’m personable and empathetic with a great sense of humor and have the ability to bring out the best in others. I feel that I am the person that you are looking for in a tutor.

If I could make you see and reap the relief and results that my child and I have experienced since being a part of Mrs. Rhonda's tutorial program, I would be more than obliged to privilege you. As we are privileged to have her, she has brought more insight and educational valuables to our table than we have received EVER! My child has had BIG academic troubles throughout his school years in many subjects and we finally feel a break through. We couldn't give enough compliments to credit her intelligence, kindness, confidence, patience and willingness to learn my child as to see what formula would work best to bring his success to fruition! It can be very frustrating and hurtful as a parent and a child when it seems like nothing gets through and nothing works almost to the point of giving up. She immediately gave me hope and has never given us anything but perfection! She is so much more than a tutor!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Cooking can be an exciting topic to explore. I've taken many cooking classes in high school and college as well as classes from other channels within the programs offered within the city. I feel that I have a good background knowledge in this subject and would love the opportunity to share my experiences with you.
Playing the drums was the instrument that I played in high school and college as well as other places like church. I even helped with lessons for our son who also played the drums in high school. Even though times have changed as far as how to hold onto the sticks, the sheet music is still the same. I feel that I have a good background knowledge in this subject and would love the opportunity to share my experiences with you.
I have taught 3rd and 4th grades for two years and also 6th grade for four years. My Kansas license certifies me to teach K-9. I also have experience as a paraprofessional for four years with this level of classes.
I have taught elementary math for ten years at various grade levels. I taught 6th grade and 7th grade math for four years, and elementary math for six years. Math is my strength in teaching.
I have worked with K-6 graders as a paraprofessional and a Special Education teacher. During this time, I have taught them their phonics as well as using appropriate words in sentences.
I have played the piano for thirteen years through private lessons. I went as far as my instructor was able to teach these piano lessons to me. I've played the piano in competition as well as in recitals. In school, I was asked several times to be the musician during concerts. I feel that I have a good background knowledge in this subject and would love the opportunity to share my experiences with you.
Sewing seems to be a long lost profession that needs to be brought back into society. People are more apt to go to the store to buy their clothing instead of trying their hand at making their own. I've taken classes for sewing in high school as well as in college. I have even taught our daughters to use the sewing machine to make various items. I feel that I have a good background knowledge in this subject and would love the opportunity to share my experiences with you.
I have a provisional license in Special Education with two years of experience teaching and working with 3rd and 4th graders who have special needs. I filled out lesson plans to incorporate into their learning at their level and also took into consideration what they were learning in the classroom at their grade level.
Since working as a paraprofessional and a special education teacher, study skills was an important aspect of their learning process. These were children K-6 at an elementary school. I have taught learning skills to students which included organization and time management of school work, reading strategies, effective note taking, and various test-taking strategies.
