I have a General Studies diploma and have started studying Interior Design at a private art and design school. I’m proficient in Adobe based software, such as Illustrator. Currently, I’m a stay at home mom with three amazing children (4,6, and 9 years old) whom I homeschool full time. My methods of teaching range from vision and auditory, to hands on learning material given. Some days, it might be listening to a book chapter and then answering questions, and other days we might use maps, go outside, and/or use physical elements to absorb our subject matter. Every child has different learning styles so adaptations are sometimes needed.
Growing up, I had amazing teachers with an abundance of patience and love, which influenced me into the mom and homeschool teacher I am today. My father is a retired wood shop teacher and computer tech teacher of 34 years so I might have picked up a thing or two from him as well! ;-)
Writing has always been a love of mine from first grade and up. I remember writing stories, starting from made up ideas and characters, and then putting it together in to a beginning, middle and end. I still love writing and proofreading what others have written. With a mind full of ideas and large vocabulary, it would be my pleasure to teach others how to write, proofread, and learn the English language.
