I was a Medic in the Army Reserve for six years where I was EMT-B and CPR certified. In the Army I spent a significant amount of time teaching classes named "Combat Life Saver Course" and "Hemorrhage Control Course." I have a bachelors degree in Recreation Administration with a Minor in Coaching, and I also received a Microsoft Excel Specialist certification. I have several years of experience in online and one-on-one powerlifting coaching and personal training. Now I am a full time student to be a physical education teacher. I have a semester of teacher candidate field experience teaching Elementary students in a PE setting, as well as a semester with teaching Middle School students in a PE setting. I approach teaching, coaching, and tutoring on a very individual basis that aims to promote curiosity and purpose to the lessons. Learning is easier when someone is actually interested and invested into a subject, as well as able to see to purpose of why learning it is necessary. Approaches like this not only yield better grades, they also yield better students and better individuals as a whole.
