I have a PhD from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and a Psychology degree from University of Texas at Austin. I've tutored a wide variety of students from 3rd grade through post-doctoral level. I have a PhD from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and a Psychology degree from University of Texas at Austin. I've tutored a wide variety of students from 3rd grade through post-doctoral level. The common thread running throughout is engaging with my students where they are at, and progressing alongside them to their objectives. Each student brings their own constellation of talents and challenges -- along with their own experiences and dreams. My psychology background comes in quite handy!

I am president of Medical Liaison Group and author of several books. I have 30+ years experience teaching, helping clients in private practice, running businesses, writing, and conducting research.

The GMAT is an important gatekeeper. Many bright and talented individuals struggle with either test-taking, test anxiety or the challenges of a computer-adaptive test. Feeling anxious or overwhelmed is the most common reason for low scores on the GMAT. So, from the very beginning, I will work with you not only on test content, but also on strategies for test-taking in a calm methodical way.

At all levels of the educational system, classrooms strive to to teach in overcrowded and somewhat impersonal classrooms. Lack of individual attention is the most common reason for a student to struggle both in the moment, and later, with more advanced coursework. Yet, healthy study skills can be taught! I have worked with students at all levels of the educational system, in both public and private schools, to develop their own study practices and thereby improve their grades / academic advancement. I look forward to meeting you and working together!
