As a political science major, I've been required to take a number of classes that not only examine the historic events of the United States from a domestic and foreign standpoint, but have also studied the political thought of important individuals in American history, such as (but not limited to): Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt, Martin Luther King Jr. and others.

In all of my political science/ American history related classes, I've maintained a 3.6 GPA.
Understanding the history of the United States allows students to better understand how and why the various aspects of our government, as well as our political, social, and economic leaders work the way that they do.
Being able to help more people understand our long and fascinating history would be a great experience.
