I received my bachelors in chemical engineering from the University of Buffalo. I was a member of the honors college and graduated magna cum laude. I then went on to get my PhD in humans genetics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. During my PhD I worked on clinical trials to find a cure for rare genetic diseases.
I have had many years of experience teaching. During my undergrad, I led a weekly seminar for freshmen within the honors college. I also tutored friends in other majors who struggled within their science and math classes. During my PhD, I was a teaching assistant for a human genetics course and held weekly office hours. Since finishing my PhD, I have been a guest lecturer at neighboring colleges to undergraduate introductory genetics courses. I have a passion for teaching and love helping people of all ages learn and grow!
