Seasoned Teacher/Tutor of Many Math Subjects

I am a former research executive, teacher, and college administrator who graduated from Manhattan College with a B.S. in mathematics and from Stony Brook University with an M.S. in applied mathematics and statistics. In addition, I achieved my Ph.D. in mathematics education from New York University. I have quite a bit of experience tutoring a wide variety of mathematical subjects across all age groups from middle school to graduate level level courses.

My philosophy is simple: (1) I take the time to assess your current capabilities, (2) Use your strengths (everyone has strengths) to treat weaknesses, (3) Show you how to solve problems, and (4) Allow you to shine at problem-solving as you demonstrate acquired competencies.

I have tutored many students during my long career as an educator. With first-hand knowledge of obstacles to success from my experience, I will help you to knock down those obstacles by gaining confidence and cultivating success with math problem-solving.

As a former college teacher and administrator, I have first-hand knowledge of how and why students struggle with the quantitative subject areas. This experience has served me well in finding ways to help students learn how to solve problems with confidence.
