Hi! I'm Diana, a professional chemist with a decade of experience in the lab and several years of teaching and tutoring experience across high school and college-level math and chemistry. I have a MS in Organic Chemistry from Northwestern University and a BS in Chemistry (ACS Certified) from Washburn University. My tutoring background includes one-on-one work where I tutored students weekly in algebra and chemistry, and several years as an undergraduate Supplemental Instructor and tutor at Washburn University, leading group problem-solving sessions and tutoring individual students in general chemistry, organic chemistry, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and calculus. I also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Northwestern, overseeing undergraduate organic and general chemistry labs, providing hands-on technical guidance, and grading lab reports and research proposals.

I’m currently focusing on general chemistry, organic chemistry, and algebra. Because I work as a research chemist in my day-to-day, I can give real examples from active lab work to bring homework problems to life. This has been a consistent part of how I approach tutoring sessions, rather than working purely from a textbook. I tailor each session to where the student currently stands in their coursework, using their assigned material as the starting point.

I’m happy to meet for a free consultation to discuss goals and make sure we’re a good fit before scheduling further. I ask for at least 24 hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling. If you're looking for a tutor who can connect chemistry and math to real, applied work, please reach out. I'd be glad to talk through your needs and get started.
