I am a graduate student pursuing a master's degree in Modern Languages with a concentration in Spanish. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and English Writing with a minor in Linguistics. I have been studying Spanish since my freshman year of high school, so I have gained lots of experience speaking it around several different groups of people since then! I am passionate about words and all that they can do, which is why my main focuses are in Spanish and English (though I have also been working on learning French). I strive to make sure every student feels heard and feels comfortable sharing with me how well they do or do not understand material so that I can help them to the best of my ability!
In undergrad, I began tutoring online, and spent two years working with students in English and Spanish. At school, I led weekly conversation cafés that helped students practice Spanish in a low-stakes environment. Now, as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, I am the main instructor in college-level beginning Spanish classes. In my time during my graduate program, I have taught levels 1-3 from introductory Spanish, and the majority of my graduate coursework has also been Spanish-based.
