Hi, I have wanted to be a teacher since I was a small child. Growing up with parents who were both teachers; school, studying, and high expectations were and are my mantra!! I received my Bachelors Degree in Education with a minor in music and my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. I am currently working on my PHD in Curriculum and Instruction.

I started teaching as soon as I graduated and have been teaching ever since!! Because I have been able to work with students from ages preschool through college in every subject area, I am able to fine-tune my craft!! Not only have I taught every grade - preschool to high school seniors - I have tutored children from the age of three to students working on their graduate degrees. I aspire to be the best!! I strive to inspire my students to do the same!! Education is the pathway to your future,and I promise to bring my knowledge and expertise to every single tutoring session!!
I do not meet in individual homes. After tutoring hundreds of students, I have found libraries to be the best setting. The study rooms are quiet and offer the best "study" environment so that my students are able to be successful in their studies.

Music History

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education: flute, piano, and voice. I began taking piano lessons in the first grade, flute in the fifth grade, and sang in choirs at church, school, and community choir. I was in the Honor's Band in high school where I was first chair. I was the senior soloist my senior year and the Nebraska Concert and Marching Bands where I was first chair and a rank leader. I have directed many school music programs from musicals to graduation and monthly programs for parents.

I began playing the piano in the first grade. I took private lessons from then until I graduated from high school. I was accepted into the Nebraska School of Music where I studied musical composition, theory, and technique. An avid piano player and flutist, I have continued to play the piano and give private lessons.

Good study skills are the building blocks to academic success! I will work with the student one on one to tailor a study schedule and plan that works for them in each and every subject area. Good study skills will help them achieve every success in their academic career from here on out. Because I have both bachelors and masters degrees in education and have taught and tutored every grade from kindergarten through college, I can help you learn the skills needed to help you study now and ever after!
