Welcome! I'm Alexi M.
I earned my Bachelor's degree in Astrophysics from the University of Oklahoma, where I discovered just how much I enjoy making physics approachable and fun. During my time there, I was involved in outreach with the Society of Physics Students, which allowed me to share the wonders of physics with people from all backgrounds. It was during these outreach events that I realized how rewarding it is to help others understand complex ideas in a way that clicks for them. That experience sparked my passion for education and set me on the path to becoming a physics educator.
After finishing my bachelor's, I went on to pursue a Master’s degree in Physics at San Jose State University. While there, I became a physics lab instructor, which was an amazing experience that allowed me to develop my teaching skills. I always aim to create a relaxed and engaging learning environment. My students consistently gave me the highest ratings in the department, and many said that my sense of humor and ability to simplify difficult concepts made physics manageable and fun! I’m all about breaking down tricky ideas into bite-sized pieces, using real-world examples and encouraging questions. Physics can be challenging, but with the right approach, anyone can succeed—and maybe even have a little fun along the way!
I look forward to helping you achieve your academic goals!
