I have a BSc. degree in Industrial Engineering and two MSc. Degrees in Industrial Technology and Industrial & Systems Engineering. My academic life concludes in 9 years of study and research. During my graduate study at Texas State University, I researched actively into the development of complex algorithms for Rapid Manufacturing Process using VBA within Autodesk Inventor. My research resulted in the publication of 12 International Papers and 3 book chapters at prestigious journals....

Between 2000 and 2005 before I pursue my higher education, I took Industrial and Process Improvement Engineer positions in detergent and automaker industries and extensively utilized Excel, Access, Visio, VBA and SQL coding for the development of custom applications needed for the improvement of various processes. I was also passionate about computer programming and became a self-educated computer programmer, did coding in VBA, Visual Basic, Turbo Pascal 7, C#, etc. My mixed Engineering-Computer skills helped me a lot to become successful data analyst and engineer in workplace and find solutions for highly difficult problems.

During my professional career, I have designed many databases such as Inventory Control, Production planning and Control, Costing tools, Material Movement and Exception process, NAAB accreditation program, etc. using VBA, SQL coding in both Access and Excel. During my work for Harley-Davidson as an Exception Analyst with Operation Data Management group, I have automated the number of reports on material movement processes in SAP using VBA and SQL coding in Access, Excel, and Outlook. Pulling data automatically from SAP and remotely exchanging data between Access, Excel and Outlook helped us significantly reduced man-hour, increased efficiency and accuracy of reports.

Since 2002, I have been designing and developing several custom Microsoft Access applications (e.g. Production Planning and Control, Inventory Control, Costing Tool, Production available-to-run, NAAB Accreditation Program, etc.) for various industries sectors and University. All applications that I have developed consisted of two parts, front-end GUI and back-end databases. To create Forms, Queries, and Reports for front-end GUI apps, I have deployed VBA, SQL coding, and other advanced techniques. Back-end databases consisted of MS Access and SQL Databases which have been resided on either server or local networks. Currently I work full time as a Production Planning Analyst for Hallmark where I have developed a number of programs packed in one front-end Access app which is remotely connected to many back-end databases (millions of data records). This custom Access app is used by over 50 users on the local network. So I would love to be challenged by difficult problems and help students and experienced persons solve their technical problems in an easy-to-understand and comprehensive way.

I came to Marco requesting help for a personal admin database that I used to track certain activities. I am a novice MS Access user though I did recently take a 4 day class and I cried creating this database on my own, unable to get it to work at basic level. Marco first corrected the relationships among the 5 tables I had set-up but which contained a mismatch in primary and foreign keys; he fixed the logic, which was flawed, in my design. The using the tables correctly related, he created data input forms and reports which displayed the info I wanted displayed. In this process, where needed, he added VBA code. He spoke clearly and patiently so I could understand what he was doing, a pleasure to work with.
