Hi my name is Ms. Sandra and I am excited to start this learning journey with you! With 32 years of teaching experience, I have taught learners from Kindergarten to High School in 3 different states! I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and in Special Education. I also have a MS in Instructional Technology as well as 60 additional hours of course credit to be the best teacher I can possibly be. I am a National Board Certified Teacher holding myself to the highest standards for accomplished teaching. I also have certification in Early Literacy and Language Learning.

My primary goal is to deliver effective tutoring so that my students can advance on their learning path. Of course I will strive to make online learning fun and engaging so they can enjoy that learning path. Additionally I will work diligently to build a strong relationship with my learners. I have great pacing to ensure efficient and effective teaching, followed by fun and engaging activities to practice what has been learned. I also use research-based strategies to present material to my learners and regularly assess their understanding and progress. This allows me to tailor my teaching to meet their specific goals.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy playing piano and teaching piano lessons. I may use some of my music to make learning more enjoyable! I am an avid reader and love to spend time in my garden or hiking. I believe that learning should be exciting and can be found in everyday activities. I can't wait to embark on this learning journey with you and your family!
