I have worked with at-risk and ADD/ADHD kids/teens who were living in group homes. I taught them physical fitness, nutrition, and sexual education. I also worked with ADD/ADHD 5th and 6th graders at the Outdoor Science School of the Orange County Public School System.

I have played basketball since pre-school. I played throughout high school, and I also volunteered my time to help out at multiple summer basketball camps put on by my high school. I still shoot around and play pick-up games in my free time.

I am an avid weightlifter. Not in the sense of being overtly muscular I enjoy creating my own lifting sessions and teaching them to my friends. I believe lifting weights is the key to maintaining a healthy body and mind.

Cooking runs in my family. One of my favorite things to do it compile random ingredients and create a fantastic meal out of them. I cook dinners for 8 other people while I am in my AmeriCorps NCCC stint. I also know the basics of baking and measurements.

I have taught Sunday School (grades 3rd-6th) for three years, and throughout that time, I have helped my students with their outside school work. I also taught 5th and 6th graders from the Orange County Public School System their California Science Standards at an outdoor science school. I am familiar with the curriculum and subject material.
