I’m a tutor with a strong science background and a 522 MCAT score, and a 36 ACT score. I studied biology and neuroscience at Washington University in St. Louis, where I learned how to think through complex scientific problems rather than memorize facts in isolation. I’m currently preparing to start medical school, so my experience with the MCAT is very recent, and I understand both the academic and mental challenges that come with studying for high-stakes exams.

My formal tutoring experience began with one-on-one ACT tutoring for high school students, where I helped students improve by focusing on strategy, reasoning, and confidence under time pressure. What I learned from that experience is that most students aren’t struggling because they “don’t know enough,” but because they haven’t been taught how to approach questions efficiently or recover when they feel stuck. That philosophy carries directly into my tutoring, where I focus on helping students recognize patterns, think through passages, and make smarter decisions even when the material feels unfamiliar.
My sessions are structured but low-pressure, and always tailored to the individual student. I place a strong emphasis on passage strategy, understanding why wrong answers are tempting, and building a study plan that is realistic and sustainable. I try to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and leave each session feeling clearer and more confident. I encourage students to reach out if they’d like to learn more or schedule a session.
