I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with extensive coursework in biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, anatomy, and physiology, and I am currently pursuing a Texas teaching certification while tutoring students in the Frisco ISD area during my gap year before medical school. At UT Austin, I served as a teaching assistant for seven semesters across four different professors and taught both lecture and laboratory courses. My teaching experience included working with students from a variety of academic and language backgrounds, including three laboratory courses where I regularly helped students who spoke languages other than English. I have also provided one-on-one tutoring to UT students in biology, chemistry, organic chemistry, biochemistry, anatomy, and physiology.

My teaching approach is centered on making difficult material understandable, engaging, and memorable. I particularly enjoy finding creative ways to explain concepts rather than relying solely on memorization, using analogies, humor, visual explanations, practice problems, and real-world examples to help students understand the "why" behind what they are learning. Having personally experienced the challenges of staying engaged with traditional teaching methods, I am especially attentive to adapting explanations and activities to different learning styles and attention spans. Whether working one-on-one or in a classroom/laboratory setting, I focus on creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and building confidence in their abilities.

Approved Subjects

ACT Science

ACT Science

I took the ACT once and got a perfect score. I then took it twice again to keep my mind sharp even through college and scored a 36 and 36. I am very good about working under time constraints (thank you, MCAT) and also scientific topics.
American History

American History

Got 5's on all AP history exams and all history (5) classes I took in college. Grew up loving it and watching the History Channel, and still do 2-4 hours of learning weekly.
Anatomy

Anatomy

I've spent all of college, as well as some high school, learning anatomy and physiology. Ask me anything!
Astronomy

Astronomy

I like stars. I like astronomy. I worked for a few months with our professors and even went to El Paso and the JWST before launch. Space is cool, y'all.
Biochemistry

Biochemistry

I spent 2 years in a lab mostly concerned with protein folding! I took BCH courses in undergrad and got 100% in all 3.
Biology

Biology

I've been learning biology for 9 years, LOL! I have it down to a science (no pun intended).
Chemistry

Chemistry

Took 8 chemistry classes in college, (including Ochem, PChem, etc.) and scored 94% or better in all. I love chemistry, and taught cohorts of Saudi Arabian students chemical lab practices, too. I've been teaching or learning chemistry for 8 years.
Elementary Math

Elementary Math

a 5 on AP Calculus BC and took up to Calc 3 in college (95% in the class). I can do elementary math AND I can teach kids. I've been a camp counselor for years and can connect particularly well with 6-18 year olds.
Elementary Science

Elementary Science

I have a degree in science, and I took every AP science exam and got a 5! I can handle elementary-level science and I LOVE teaching younger students not only WHAT science is about, but HOW it relates to the world around us!
Physiology

Physiology

I've taken 6 years of physiology courses and TA'd for the professors. Also, I've taken the MCAT. All my physio/anatomy knowledge is smushed into my brain LOL!
Psychology

Psychology

MCAT-prepped and also a 5 on AP Psych. Oh, also 5 psych courses at UT Austin with a 98%+ in each. If you have questions about Psych or Soc., I'm your dude.
Spelling

Spelling

Not sure what to put here. I've been speaking and writing and reading English at a high level for decades. I like to read in my free time. I love spelling tests? Look, if you need help spelling, I gotcha.
World History

World History

5's on all AP exams (Euro, USH, HUG, etc.) and a huge history buff in college. I love teaching history in fun and interactive ways because what has helped me learn is visualizing battles and becoming one with the past!
