I have been a high school teacher for fifteen years, and for the past decade my primary focus has been economics. I have been a high school teacher for fifteen years, and for the past decade my primary focus has been economics. I hold a bachelor’s degree in social studies education and a master’s degree in education with a specialization in online teaching. In addition to these degrees, I completed nine graduate-level hours in economics at Valparaiso University, all of which strengthened my content expertise in both microeconomics and macroeconomics. Over the years, I have taught a wide range of learners and have become especially passionate about helping students understand economic concepts clearly and confidently.

For the past six years, I have taught AP Macroeconomics and AP Microeconomics, and for the last two years I have served as an AP Reader, which has given me deep insight into how the exams are structured and how students are evaluated. My AP pass rates are consistently strong; in the past three years, at least ninety percent of my AP Macroeconomics students have earned a qualifying score. I work with students four days a week in dedicated tutoring sessions, and those frequent one-on-one interactions have helped me develop a strong ability to pinpoint gaps in understanding and address them with clear, tailored instruction.

Beyond my classroom experience, I have also worked with homeschool students through a local co-op, and I understand the unique needs and learning styles that often accompany homeschool education. I am comfortable supporting students who need consistent, ongoing help as well as those who prefer to check in occasionally when they are struggling with a particular topic. No matter the frequency, I aim to make economic concepts accessible and to give every student the skills and confidence they need to succeed, though I have found that regular, steady support always leads to the strongest results.
